John Garren

CEO, President and Co-Founder

John Garren is a founding partner of DemandLink and serves as Chief Executive Officer and President. John leads the company’s direction, strategy, growth initiatives, people development and culture, and oversees all aspects of DemandLink operations.

Prior to co-founding DemandLink in 2008, John was a National Account Manager and Replenishment Manager at Kraemer’s Nursery, where he began his career as a Replenishment Analyst in 2005. His previous work experience also includes an Ocean Charter Boat Captain in Alaska while attending university. John holds a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business Management with a concentration in Economics and minor in Animal Sciences from Oregon State University.


Robin Cross

CFO, Research Director and Co-Founder

Robin Cross is a founding partner and Research Director of DemandLink. While leading the DemandLink team, Robin also serves as Assistant Professor-Senior Researcher in Applied Economics at Oregon State University. His research focus areas include Cognitive & Behavioral Analysis, Evolutionary Computing, Machine Learning and Wine Economics. Through his research work, Robin has partnered with Oregon State University and its public and private collaborators, including Harvard University, Oregon Health Sciences University, University of Maryland, Amazon, Home Depot, Lowe’s and Wal-Mart. Robin has been widely published and is the author or co-author of 13 journal articles, 7 conference papers, and 7 book chapters.

Previously, Robin served as Postdoctoral Research Associate at Oregon State University and Chief Financial Officer at Kraemer’s Nursery prior to co-founding DemandLink in 2008. His professional experience also includes a Senior Credit Officer role at Northwest Farm Credit Services. In 2000 he started his graduate work at Oregon State University as Graduate Research Assistant. Robin holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Resource Economics from Oregon State University, and graduated Summa cum Laude with a B.S. in Agricultural and Resource Economics from Oregon State University.


Nicholas Bombik

Vice President of Analytics

Nicholas Bombik has served as Vice President of Analytics since joining DemandLink in 2017 and brings extensive Demand Planning and Forecasting experience, particularly from the Live Goods industry. Prior to DemandLink, Nick was the Director of Replenishment and Data Analytics for Metrolina Greenhouses, the largest single-site heated greenhouse in the United States.

His previous work experience also includes 13 years with Lowe’s Home Improvement, where he began his career as a Distribution Manager. With a passion for data analytics, Nick moved into the Demand Planning and Forecasting organization and also led a Logistics team as Manager of Supply Chain Flow. At Lowe’s, he last served as an Inventory Planning Manager for Live Goods and Building Materials. Nick earned a BS in both Productions and Operations Management and Purchasing and Supply Chain Management from Bowling Green State University.


Jeramie Trahan

Vice President of Sales

Jeramie Trahan is Vice President of Sales and brings 20+ years of retail experience. Prior to DemandLink, Jeramie spent 14 years at Fortune 40 Lowe’s Companies Inc, gaining extensive merchandising and product experience including the following categories: Live Goods, Mulch, Soil, Patio Block, Watering, Garden Tools, Windows, Patio Doors and Garage Doors and Openers.

He last served as Merchandise Director in Lawn and Garden where he led a team that was responsible for the P&L and merchant duties for multiple Lawn and Garden product categories. He developed long-term plans and innovative strategies that improved overall product category performance. As a Merchant, Jeramie excelled in leadership, strategy, merchandising, forecasting, data analysis and was a 3-time nominee for Merchant of the Year.

Jeramie received a B.S. in Marketing with a minor in Management from Southeastern Louisiana University.


Kathryn Cram

Director of Strategic Account Management

Kathryn Cram is the Director of Strategic Account Management for DemandLink and exercises both strong interpersonal and analytical skills to manage relationships with existing and prospect customers. Kathryn joined DemandLink in 2012 from her role as Account Analyst at Kraemer’s Nursery.

Before joining Kraemer’s, Kathryn was Lead Statistician at USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service, and began her career at Eggland’s Best Eggs as Regional Merchandiser. Kathryn received a BS in Agricultural Business Management from Oregon State University, in addition to minors in Poultry Science and International Marketing, which she completed at the National University of Ireland at Galway.


Susan Lee

Architect and Development Manager

Susan Lee is Lead Developer, focused on strategic and tactical planning, and is responsible for delivering quality, on-time product and managing the technology team to agile software development. Susan joined DemandLink in 2015 as Software Developer Intern, followed by the role of Software Developer.

Before DemandLink, Susan was a third-party administrator for qualified Employee Stock Ownership Plans, where she maintained a case-load of 25+ clients and performed the annual administration and compliance testing. She also previously spent time managing a retail store, bookkeeping, and can make a mean latte, as she once was a Barista. Susan holds a BS in Computer Science from Oregon State University, in addition to a BA in Sociology and BA in Anthropology from the University of Virginia.
